3ICE Three-on-Three Professional Hockey League Announces New Player Signings

 Nine More Players Ink Deals for Inaugural Season Tryouts

Pittsburgh, PA - March 31, 2022 – 3ICE, North America’s premier three-on-three professionalice hockey league, reveals nine player signings for the inaugural season, which opens June 18in Las Vegas. More than 100 players total have signed and are eligible to be drafted by 3ICE’sCoaches.

Jered Aulin, Mark Auk, Jayce Hawryluk, Nick Kerdiles, Mike Lundin, Samson Mahbod, BrennanMenell, Griffen Molino and Jeff Taffe have all signed one-year deals with the league. Eachplayer will be eligible to be drafted by six different teams that will consist of seven players(including one goalie), competing in a nine week season that will feature six games each night.3ICE players will be competing for more than US$2 million in prize money across all ninetour-stops.

Aulin was a second round selection of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft andplayed 17 NHL games for the Los Angeles Kings. He also spent six seasons in the AmericanHockey League (AHL) and over 10 seasons overseas in Sweden and Switzerland.

Auk played four seasons at Michigan Tech where he registered 84 points in 150 games andcaptured back-to-back WCHA championships in 2017 and 2018. In addition to playing collegehockey, he spent two seasons in the United States Hockey League (USHL) with the CedarRapids RoughRiders posting 39 points in 93 games.

Hawryluk was selected 32nd overall by the Florida Panthers in the second round of 2014 NHLEntry Draft where he played in 57 games. He also played in over 40 games with the OttawaSenators and Vancouver Canucks. Prior to playing in the NHL, he played in four seasons withthe Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL) where he earned SecondAll-Star Team honors in 2016.

Kerdiles was selected 36th overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round of the 2012 NHLEntry Draft. In addition to his time with the Ducks, he played six seasons in the AHL.

Lundin was drafted 102nd overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Heplayed in over 250 games in six seasons in the NHL with the Lightning, Minnesota Wild andOttawa Senators before joining the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) where he spent fourseasons.

Mahbod was selected 75th overall by the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major JuniorHockey League (QMJHL) in 2005. After five seasons in the QMJHL, he played five seasons inthe East Coast Hockey League (ECHL). Most recently, he has played over 10 seasons playingin various international leagues, including the KHL.

Menell played three seasons in the WHL and three with the AHL before signing a free agentcontract with the NHL’s Minnesota Wild in 2017. While with the AHL’s Iowa Wild, he earnedFirst All-Star Team honors in 2020 and eventually became their franchise record-holder in nearlyall offensive categories for blueliners with 101 assists and 116 points in 199 games.

Molino played in one season with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks. He spent four seasons in theAmerican Hockey League (AHL) and two seasons in the ECHL where he scored 22 goals in 50games with the Utah Grizzlies.

Taffe, who played in nine seasons and played 180 games in the NHL, was drafted in the firstround (30th overall) by the St. Louis Blues in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He spent time betweensix NHL teams, including 98 games with the Phoenix Coyotes and 53 with the PittsburghPenguins. He also played 13 seasons in the AHL and most recently, five seasons with variousleagues overseas.
